SUPPORT AND WELLBEING REPORT
Welcome back to Term 4. This term our focus value is Courage and for the first fortnight we have been focussing on trying new things. While a sense of routine can provide stability, trying new things can breathe fresh life into our high school experience and beyond. One of the most exciting aspects of trying new things is the possibility of uncovering hidden passions and talents. High school is a time of self-discovery, and it's essential to explore a variety of interests, from joining a club you've never considered to participating in a sports team or even learning a new instrument. You might just find a hidden talent or passion that could become a lifelong pursuit. High school is a unique and transformative time in your life. Embrace the unknown, explore new passions, and develop the skills and mindset that will serve you well throughout life. Whether it's joining a club, participating in community service, trying out for a sports team, or taking up a new hobby, remember that the power of trying new things lies in the journey itself. Embrace the adventure, make the most of these formative years, and you'll find that the possibilities are endless.
Last Friday we celebrated Mental Health week with a whole school wellbeing day. From Recess on we ran a different schedule where students worked in their homegroups on a variety of tasks, all aiming to optimise our mental health and wellbeing. Students were able to decorate rocks to create a whole school garden display, take part in team building games, visit our silent disco, take part in a range of outdoor activities and visit a wellbeing expo in the hall. We would like to thank all of the external organisations who attended and provided invaluable information. I was so proud of the way students embraced our values focus of trying new things and gave everything a go.
