This term in Health, we have been learning about ‘Safe Practices and Emergency Responses’. Last week some of our year 9’s visited the Derwent Valley SES unit for a tour and discussion about how the volunteers ‘Prepare, Respond and Recover’ in the event of an emergency. This was an insightful excursion where students could see firsthand the types of equipment, and tools required for a road crash rescue. We would like to thank our local members for giving up their time to safe lives in our community.
