This term in classes 81 and 83 we have been learning about Viking history; aspects of daily life and Viking culture. We have examined the link between the Scandinavian environment and raiding behaviour, as well as longboats and the Norse Universe. Students are creating a board game or wall poster to demonstrate their knowledge of Viking history.

In English we are studying the novel ‘Blueback’ by Tim Winton with a focus on the themes of conservation, sustainability and ecology as well as figurative language used in the text. Our English skills focus this term has been using key words from the question in our answers when answering short response questions.
